IVF and IVLT

For ‘hopeless’ couples

LASER THERAPY CAN COMPLEMENT IN VITRO FERTILIZATION

THERE is now big hope for seemingly hopeless couples who want children but failed after years of trying. The Intravenous Laser Therapy (IVLT) could be the answer.

Integrated Laser and Complementary Medicine (ILACM) has compilation of testimonials from patients, who found a solution to not being able to bear children in months or years. Others claimed to have tried the In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) but in vain.

ILACM strongly believes that IVF can be complemented with IVLT to boost success of pregnancy.

IVF or In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) has gained widespread popularity in many countries like Australia and New Zealand. IVF is often described as an Assisted Reproductive Technology or ART but is now called IVF. The fertilization process includes the following:

  • Extraction or drawing out of eggs.
  • Retrieving sperm samples
  • Combine the egg and sperm (manually) in a laboratory dish.
  • The embryo is then transported to the uterus.

IVF is an assisted reproductive technology where eggs are extracted from a woman, a sperm sample is retrieved from the male. Then these are manually combined in a laboratory dish. After 5-6 days of fertilization, the embryo is then transferred or implanted to the uterus, where it will wait for maturity.

The IVLT, on the other hand, is also known as the blood irradiation therapy. It is a cutting-edge medical breakthrough used to treat a variety of conditions through the use of low-level red light via the optic fiber needle as inserted into the veins and whose therapeutic benefits are said to scatter throughout the body as the light goes into the bloodstream.

Based on published medical reports, many patients think that an excellent IVF success rate is 80 percent or above and that anything below 50 percent is poor. Even a young and fertile couple will just have a 15-20% chance to conceive naturally in any one month.

It may not be a good news to those who want to consider IVF but most couples fail to have a child with their first IVF cycle but the chance of having a baby increases the more times they try. Despite this, 43% of couples who fail on the first go never try a second time, because of the cost.

In the Philippines, IVF’s costs range from P200k up, depending on the patient’s requirement. Estimated total cost of a single minimal stimulation IVF Cycle embryo transfer is around P300k. The cost covers egg retrieval, IVF with or without the Intracytoplasmic sperm injection or ICSI, embryo culture, assisted hatching if necessary and embryo transfer or embryo cryopreservation for one year from the retrieval dates.

Study shows that cumulative chance of a live birth is only 30% for the first cycle, increasing to 45% after two cycles and 54% after three. Although there are also several factors to consider for the failure of IVF.

Meanwhile, one proof from an ILACM patient shows how successful and effective is IVLT in making her pregnant — is a testimony from a previously “hopeless” couple.

Carmela and her husband have been married for eight years. However, it was only in 2015 that the couple finally decided it was time for her to become pregnant.

The couple first consulted a fertility specialist or endocrinologist in one of the leading medical institutions in the country. The young woman tried the so-called mommy-boosting exercises to boost fertility. Ultra-sound results were normal.

Carmela was also prescribed CLOMID drug for ovulation. Nonetheless, the outcome was not encouraging at all. One year after, she opted for Intrauterine Insemination or IUI twice but still Carmela was not able to conceive a child.

In January of this year, Carmela happened to meet Dr. Maricor Pomperada – Tibe of Medical City and ILACM.

Carmela was elated because her menstrual period was already delayed for four days. Yet, husband and wife were dismayed after learning that the Ultra-sound test yielded negative results. She was advised to go through another fertility work-out and try IVLT at ILACM.
Carmela had her first IVLT session on January 19. Incidentally, this was also her first day of menstruation. One week after this, the anxious lady was scheduled for repeat follicular test which showed there no large ovarian follicles. Dr. Maricor recommended another three sessions of laser therapy. Carmela was given Pregnile injection after these additional sessions together with instructions for dates of contact, medications and monitoring.

The following month Carmela again experienced delayed menstruation followed by slight spotting. The pregnancy test was still negative but there were two lines the next day after repeating the test. She had Beta HCG hormone test after one month which produced less than 2, 000 (level) or miscarriage. A follow-up test the following week indicated HCG at 9, 000 or clear pregnancy.

At this time, Carmela is already seven months pregnant. She is an expectant mother all because of prayers, determination and IVLT.

IVLT costs a lot less than IVF. The decision is yours.
